Recently, GE Healthcare China and RainMed Medical successfully signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two sides will work together to innovate coronary interventional diagnosis and treatment models and procedures, and strive to create more accurate and high-quality integrated precision interventional diagnosis and treatment, and jointly improve the efficiency and level of coronary disease diagnosis and treatment.

Founded in 2014, RainMed Medical is committed to innovating in the field of pan-vascular interventional surgical robots. Currently, RainMed Medical has made significant achievements in the design, development and commercialization of coronary angiography-derived fractional flow reserve(caFFR) measurement system and coronary angiography-derived index of microcirculatory resistance (caIMR) system. RainMed has formed a global research and development, production, sales and service network. In particular, the core product involved in this strategic cooperation -- coronary function evaluation system based on angiography lays a solid foundation for the development and production of interventional surgical robots. Through this strategic cooperation, RainMed and GE Healthcare will combine their strengths in interventional imaging to open a new chapter in coronary interventional diagnosis and treatment.

Prof. Bo Xu from Fuwai Hospital of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences was invited to attend and witness the signing ceremony of strategic cooperation between GE Healthcare China and RainMed Medical. On the strategic cooperation between the two high-tech companies, Prof. Xu said: “In traditional coronary intervention surgery, the physician needs to rely on high-power X-ray as a 'magnifying glass' to observe target lesion of the patient and guide the operation. The strategic partnership between the two outstanding enterprises will build the coronary functional detection system on digital interventional imaging technology to improve the efficiency and safety of interventional therapy, which is good news for cardiologists. I believe that the research and development of the interventional surgery robot integrated catheterization laboratory is a good thing for the benefit of the country and the people, and I wish this cooperation a satisfactory result.”
