Index of microcirculatory resistance (IMR) is an accurate and stable method and gold standard to evaluate coronary microcirculation dysfunction. However, the current method of quantitative measurement of IMR is complex, limited to scientific research, and does not have the conditions for large-scale clinical application. The quantitative measurement of IMR has become a hot research topic in cardiovascular field all over the world. The breakthrough of its measurement method will bring the next revolution in coronary functional diagnosis.

Previously, International top journal in cardiovascular field, Journal of the American College of Cardiology (JACC: Cardiovascular Interventions) published a study by Samsung Medical Center in South Korea and Zhongshan Hospital of Fudan University titled "Functional Coronary Angiography- Derived Index of Microcirculatory Resistance in Patients With ST- Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction". The article points out that caIMR has significant predictive value for survival status in patients with acute myocardial infarction after PCI, which marks caIMR of RainMed, the world's first epoch-making technology, has solved the shortcomings of traditional microcirculation measurement methods and achieved a leap forward in the diagnosis of microcirculation disorders.

The article published in Journal of the American College of Cardiology (JACC) is the most comprehensive study in the field of computing IMR Interventions with the highest impact factors, which has aroused wide attention and discussion in the academic community.

The caIMR system of RainMed Medical provides a simple measurement process for diagnosing microcirculation disorders. IMR is measured in a non-invasive and quantitative way within 2-3 minutes without pressure wires, hyperemic agents and additional surgical procedures. Combined with coronary angiography-derived fractional flow reserve (caFFR), caIMR can achieve comprehensive diagnosis of myocardial ischemia covering both macro and micro levels, reshaping the standards and procedures of cardiovascular treatment.

caIMR has previously demonstrated accuracy in the diagnosis of stable angina, unstable angina, INOCA, MINOCA and other indications, and this study extends another indication. Lead investigators Dr. Joo Myung Lee, Professor of Internal Medicine, Sungkyunkwan University Samsung Medical Center, South Korea, and Dr. Neng Dai, Cardiology Department, Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University, highly praised the diagnostic accuracy and clinical application value of caIMR.

In addition, two world-renowned cardiologists, George Stouffer, director of the Department of Cardiology at the University of North Carolina and Director of the McAllister Heart Institute, and Joseph Rossi, clinical professor of cardiology at the University of North Carolina, wrote reviews for the article. The review points out that the clinical application of IMR after PCI is promising. caIMR is an exciting advance as a reliable, less invasive technique for assessing vascular microcirculation function, which will provide a better prognosis for STEMI patients. Above all, caIMR can facilitate the development of diagnostic methods for vascular microcirculation function and pave the way for late clinical trials and large-scale application.

In the future, RainMed Medical will integrate and form digital function diagnosis module covering caFFR and caIMR, build and launch panvascular automated diagnosis and treatment of the robot platform products, and extend to coronary artery, cerebrovascular, pulmonary artery, renal artery and other peripheral vascular. RainMed will uphold the principle of "Targeted medical services for the peoples health" and aims to reshape diagnosis and treatment in the industry and bring innovative treatment solutions for the majority of doctors and patients.
