Recently, the first animal experiment of a vascular interventional surgery Robot of RainMed Medical- Flash Robot was successfully conducted in Suzhou. In this experiment, Flash Robot of RainMed Medical realized automatic optical positioning puncture, angiography-guided push, rapid functional diagnosis, interventional channel construction, surgical navigation guidance, postoperative evaluation and management, etc. There were no surgical complications such as vasospasm during the whole experiment, and the experiment verified the clinical operability, safety and effectiveness of the vascular interventional surgical robot system. The success of this animal experiment marks a big step forward for RainMed Medical to become the world's leading vascular interventional surgical robot company.

Flash Robot is composed of three functional units: surgical image navigation system, console system, bedside manipulator and instrument control device. They coordinate with each other to form a closed loop of signal transmission, acting as the "eye", "brain" and "hand" of the robot, assisting the operator to complete the whole process of surgical diagnosis and treatment.

In the design of "brain", Flash Robot integrates multi-modal medical images to achieve accurate navigation. The surgical image navigation system is the brain of the interventional robot as well as the eye of the surgeon. It reconstructs three-dimensional models of blood vessels from different types of medical images, accurately and carefully observes the lesion location of patients, and makes precise navigation by matching the original medical image information with real-time motion information of instruments, so as to assist surgeons in preoperative decision-making, intraoperative guidance and postoperative evaluation. The console system, as a bridge connecting the surgeon and the vascular interventional surgery robot, can accurately operate the instrument control device , catheter and guide wire, and support the remote transmission of the surgeon's operation instructions. As an extension of the surgeon's "hand", the bedside  manipulator and instrument control device can imitate the action of pushing and twisting with both hands to control the medical instrument to complete the operation of pushing, rotating and withdrawing. Different actions can be flexibly overlapped, transformed and combined, so as to meet the requirements of the generalization of various endovascular surgeries and meet the surgical requirements of different parts and different surgical methods.

It is the precise coordination of "eyes", "brain" and "hands" that enables the vascular interventional surgery robot to achieve millimeter-scale control and measurement and avoid mistakes caused by trembling and other operations. Meanwhile, Flash Robot is equipped with a touch screen in the surgical image navigation system and console system, allowing physicians to capture the screen or add marking lines with one click, so as to improve physicians' clinical experience and improve surgical efficiency.

In addition, RainMed Medical integrated the coronary functional diagnosis module independently launched in the early stage into the surgical robot system. With the help of the robot, it can achieve rapid, standardized and automated functional diagnosis. The functional diagnostic module assumes the responsibility of "commander", providing professional diagnosis advice for surgeons and connecting the two major intervention processes of angiography and treatment. In the future, the company will integrate interventional and ablative treatment modules into surgical robot products to achieve complete automation of diagnosis and treatment.

Flash Robot is expected to pass the NMPA certification in China and start the CE registration in the European Union in 2024, which will promote the large-scale commercialization of the product at home and abroad. In the near future, Flash Robot will also be fully compatible with a variety of diagnosis and treatment methods, covering the whole process of diagnosis and treatment of heart, brain, lung, kidney and other blood vessels, and bringing innovative diagnostic and treatment solutions to the majority of doctors and patients.
