Information

On June 7th, 2022, leaders of Suzhou RainMed Medical Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "RainMed") had a vote on the name of their Disposable Blood Pressure Transducer. During the six-day event, the organizers received 22 submissions. After the vote, the winner and the name of the transducer were finalized.

The transducer, which will be named as CadiFlash, is significant in both caFFR and caIMR measurement. caFFR is a coronary angiography-derived fractional flow reserve measurement system, which is based on two angiograms, real-time aortic pressure and a specially-designed computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model to measure FFR. caFFR requires no pressure guidewire and no adenosine, and the functional evaluation can be performed during surgery. Compared with guidewire-based FFR, caFFR can evaluate the blood flow more conveniently and quickly with a diagnostic consistency of 95.7%, which provides an opportunity to expand the clinical application of coronary functional evaluation indicators.

Correspondingly, caIMR can accurately assess the patient's postoperative status and determine whether the patient has microcirculatory dysfunction. It can measure microvascular resistance in real time and evaluate microvascular dysfunction after surgery. As the world's leading non-interventional microcirculation diagnosis system, caIMR has high accuracy, sensitivity and specificity. Research shows that RainMed's caIMR can replace guidewire-based IMR for functional diagnosis of patients with ischemic heart disease. The clinical application of caIMR will greatly improve the diagnosis and treatment of coronary heart disease caused by microcirculation. In the future, caIMR will have huge application prospects. The breakthrough of its measurement method will bring the next revolution in coronary functional diagnosis.

RainMed will launch caFFR and caIMR soon and is expected to start selling them in the US in 2023. Before the products come into market, RainMed Medical has innovatively optimized them based on user experience and clinical functions. The updated products will greatly improve the surgical experience and adapt to a variety of clinical application scenarios.
