RainMed is collaborating with Sino Medical in the PIONEER IV trial, a prospective randomized trial that will be conducted in 30 hospitals across Europe with 2,540 patients and involves patients with various types of coronary heart disease, including acute heart disease, chronic heart disease, or vascular stenosis. Eligible patients will undergo a non-invasive physiological vascular screening process to determine which vessels require stenting. RainMed's caFFR technology will be used in this clinical trial together with Medis Medical Imaging's QFR as a non-invasive physiological detection technology.

The trial is sponsored by the National University of Ireland Galway and centrally coordinated by the University's Advanced Imaging and Core Laboratory CORRIB Research Center, and led by Patrick W. Serruys, Senior Professor of Interventional Medicine and Innovation, and William Wijns, Science Foundation Ireland Professor of Interventional Cardiology.

The trial is currently underway, and RainMed's caFFR technology has been installed and enrolled in multiple centers.
