At the end of March 2023, the China-Uzbekistan Medical Cooperation and Development Forum, co-sponsored by China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Medicines & Health Products and the Pharmaceutical Development Bureau of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan, and co-hosted by China-Central Asia Health Industry Alliance and China Meheco Group Co., LTD., was successfully held in Beijing. More than 50 representatives from well-known enterprises from China and Uzbekistan attended the conference. RainMed Medical was also invited to participate. At the conference, the participating enterprises had a lively discussion on the medical and health cooperation between the two countries, making new contributions to the new development of medical industry.

RainMed Medical has introduced its self-developed product for coronary functional measurement -- caFFR. It is a coronary angiography-derived fractional flow reserve measurement system, which is based on two angiograms, real-time aortic pressure and a specially-designed computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model to measure FFR.  Compared with guidewire-based FFR, caFFR is relatively simple to operate, with low risk and short time. It avoids the use of invasive pressure guide wire and hyperemic agents, and therefore reduces the risk and cost for FFR measurement. With an extremely high diagnostic consistency of 95.7%, it provides clinicians an opportunity to expand the clinical application of coronary function evaluation.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative, and the first China and Five Central Asian Countries Summit will be held this year. China-uzbekistan medical and health cooperation will see new opportunities for development. In the past few years, the Uzbek Government has attached increasing importance to the development of the pharmaceutical and medical device industry. Uzbekistan is also the fastest growing market in Central Asia, with more than 4,000 local medicines and devices, 220 pharmaceutical manufacturers, and the corresponding clinical work carried out every year. China and Uzbekistan enjoy a long history of friendly exchanges and China is also Uzbekistan's strategic partner. In the future, the two countries will carry out more practical cooperation and jointly establish a platform for cooperation in technology and international trade, so as to make more contribution to boosting the economic growth of the two sides.
