Information

On May 27th, 2023, RainMed Medical successfully held the "Recent Progress in Medical Innovations" Coronary Physiology Forum at the 17th Oriental Congress of Cardiology (OCC 2023) to promote the concept of coronary physiology assessment and the clinical application of computational coronary physiology indicators. The forum invited renowned cardiovascular experts in China to exchange the latest developments in coronary physiology assessment technology and showcase the applications of innovative coronary microcirculation functional assessment technology caIMR system in daily diagnosis and clinical research, providing new ideas for promoting the clinical application of coronary microcirculation functional assessment.

Professor Hong Jiang: RainMed Medical's innovative coronary artery functional analysis system can significantly promote the clinical application of coronary physiology assessment and facilitate precision diagnosis and treatment.

In Professor Hong Jiang's opening speech, he stated that coronary intervention is moving towards precision. The use of FFR to guide intervention treatments has become a clinical routine. However, there are certain technical difficulties in guidewire-derived measurement, which affect its clinical popularity and have resulted in a range of innovative non-invasive methods for coronary physiology evaluation. RainMed Medical's coronary artery functional analysis system is among the best. Compared to conventional measurement techniques, caFFR system is simple, accurate, safe and reliable, and can significantly promote the clinical application of coronary physiology assessment. Moreover, the system can comprehensively evaluate coronary function, further promoting precision diagnosis and treatment.

Professor Huo Yunlong: RainMed Medical's coronary function measurement system overcomes the difficulties of popularization of conventional technology and helps with the precision diagnosis and treatment of coronary heart disease.

Professor Yunlong Huo shared the development and clinical value of RainMed Medical's coronary functional measurement technologies, caFFR system and caIMR system. He pointed out that in order to overcome the technical difficulties of conventional FFR and IMR measurement technologies, RainMed Medical has developed the caFFR system and caIMR system based on coronary angiograms and the principles of computational fluid dynamics. These two systems are simple, fast, safe, and accurate, which constitute RainMed Medical's coronary functional measurement system. Clinical studies have shown that using caFFR system to guide PCI can significantly improve clinical outcomes in three years. For STEMI patients after emergency PCI, using caIMR system to guide the treatment of coronary microcirculatory dysfunction can significantly improve the prognosis in ten years. It is evident that RainMed Medical's coronary functional measurement products can effectively serve clinicians and benefit patients with cardiovascular diseases.

Professor Dengfeng Ma: IMR is an important indicator to evaluate microvascular function, and RainMed’s caIMR is a powerful substitute for guide wire-based IMR

Professor Dengfeng Ma made a special report on the clinical application of the index of coronary microcirculation resistance (IMR). He pointed out that the assessment of coronary microcirculatory function needs to be strengthened in the diagnosis and treatment of coronary heart disease. IMR can be used to conveniently and specifically evaluate coronary microcirculatory function in cathlabs. Compared with guidewire-based IMR technology, there is no need of pressure guidewire, hyperemic agents, repeated injection of normal saline, which has outstanding advantages of safety, convenience and efficiency. RainMed's caIMR system can replace the guidewire-based IMR and can be widely used in the diagnosis of coronary microcirculation function in patients with coronary heart disease and in the prognosis evaluation of coronary heart disease.

Professor Chenguang Li: RainMed Medical's caIMR system provides a powerful tool for evaluating coronary microcirculatory function in clinical research.

Professor Li Chenguang gave a special report on the application of the caIMR system in clinical research. He pointed out that from the perspectives of accessibility, specificity, applicability, safety, and repeatability, RainMed Medical's caIMR system is currently the most suitable technology for evaluating coronary microcirculatory function, providing a powerful research tool for clinical research. For example, caIMR system can be used to investigate the effect of intervention treatment on coronary microcirculatory function, serve as the "gold standard" for evaluating the diagnostic value of other indicators, and also as an important reference for studying coronary microcirculatory function in heart disease. Coronary microcirculatory dysfunction is currently a hot topic in clinical research. The caIMR system's non-invasive methods to scientifically assess coronary microcirculation lowers the skill threshold. In the future, this product will be widely used in clinical research and promote medical progress.

In this physiology forum, experts exchanged the latest developments in coronary physiology assessment technology, showcasing the innovative coronary microcirculation functional assessment technology caIMR system's applications in daily diagnosis and clinical research. Currently, caIMR system has been commercialized and implemented. It is believed that with the convenient and fast caIMR system, it will promote large-scale clinical promotion of coronary microcirculation assessment and provide new assistance for promoting precise diagnosis and treatment of coronary heart disease.

In the future, RainMed will continue to uphold the concept of "Targeted Medical Services for People's Health”, integrating caFFR and caIMR into its FlashBot vascular surgery robots to empower precision medicine and contribute to the global cardiovascular industry.
