On June 10, 2023, RainMed Medical successfully hosted the Recent Progress with Innovation Coronary Physiology Satellite Symposium during the 24th South China International Congress of Cardiology (SCC 2023). The symposium invited renowned cardiovascular specialists in China to exchange ideas on the technological advancements and clinical applications of coronary functional studies. The innovative coronary microcirculation functional assessment caIMR system, developed by RainMed Medical, was also showcased for its application in daily diagnosis and clinical research.

Professor Yong Liu stated that RainMed Medical's coronary functional assessment system provides a simple and comprehensive evaluation of coronary function, which has contributed to promoting accurate diagnosis and treatment of coronary heart disease in China.

Professor Yong Liu delivered a keynote speech on the progress of functional assessment guiding the treatment of coronary heart disease. He pointed out that coronary intervention is moving towards precision. The use of FFR to guide PCI has become a clinical routine, and coronary microcirculation functional assessment has also been recommended by guidelines. However, there are certain technical challenges in guidewire-based measurement, which affect its clinical popularity and therefore a range of innovative non-invasive methods for coronary physiology assessment were emerged. RainMed Medical's coronary artery functional analysis system is among the best. Compared to conventional measurement techniques, the system is simple, accurate, safe and reliable, and can significantly promote the clinical application of coronary physiology assessment. Moreover, the system can comprehensively evaluate coronary function, further promoting precise diagnosis and treatment.

Professor Huo Yunlong: RainMed Medical's coronary function measurement system overcomes the difficulties of popularization of conventional technology and helps with the precision diagnosis and treatment of coronary heart disease.

Professor Yunlong Huo shared the technical development of RainMed Medical's caFFR and caIMR systems. To overcome the technical and promotion difficulties of conventional FFR and IMR measurement techniques, RainMed Medical has developed a simple, fast, and safe caFFR and caIMR coronary assessment technology based on coronary angiograms and computational fluid dynamics. These technologies have been integrated into the RainMed Medical coronary functional measurement system, which provides a complete functional assessment of blood vessels from epicardial coronary arteries to intramyocardial microcirculation.. Clinical studies have confirmed that using caFFR system to guide PCI for SCAD significantly improves the 3-year prognosis. Furthermore, using caIMR system to evaluate coronary microcirculation function in STEMI patients after emergency PCI and providing targeted treatment when necessary can significantly reduce 10-year MACEs.

Professor Kela Li stated that there is increasing evidence to support the routine application of RainMed Medical's caIMR system in daily diagnosis and treatment of coronary heart disease to evaluate coronary microcirculation.

Professor Kela Li presented the latest clinical application progress of RainMed Medical's caIMR system. He pointed out that there is evidence to suggest that the caIMR system can replace guidewire-derived IMR to diagnose coronary microvascular disease and microcirculation dysfunction related to emergency PCI in STEMI patients, stratify risk in CCS and MINOCA patients, and predict clinical outcomes in PCI patients to guide subsequent treatment. Based on the increasing clinical evidence of the caIMR system, Professor Li recommended routine application of the caIMR system for evaluating coronary microcirculation function in the daily diagnosis and treatment of coronary heart disease.

Professor Xinjin Zhang recommends the widespread application of RainMed Medical's caIMR system in clinical research for the diagnosis and treatment of coronary heart disease to promote medical progress.

Professor Xinjin Zhang gave a special report on the application of the caIMR system in clinical research. He pointed out that from the perspectives of accessibility, specificity, applicability, safety, and repeatability, RainMed Medical's caIMR system is currently the most suitable technology for evaluating coronary microcirculatory function, providing a powerful research tool for clinical research. For example, caIMR system can be used to investigate the effect of intervention treatment on coronary microcirculatory function, serve as the "gold standard" for evaluating the diagnostic value of other indicators, and also as an important reference for studying coronary microcirculatory function in heart disease. Coronary microcirculatory dysfunction is currently a hot topic in clinical research. The caIMR system's non-invasive methods to scientifically assess coronary microcirculation lowers the skill threshold. In the future, this product will be widely used in clinical research and promote medical progress.

During the RainMed Medical coronary physiology satellite meeting, experts discussed the clinical application of coronary functional assessment, shared the development of coronary functional assessment technology, and demonstrated the innovative coronary microcirculation functional assessment technology of RainMed Medical's caIMR system in daily diagnosis and clinical research. Various studies and clinical cases have shown that the simple and fast caIMR system will provide new opportunities to promote the assessment of coronary microcirculation function in China, and help promote the precision diagnosis and treatment of coronary heart disease into a new era.

In the future, RainMed will continue to uphold the concept of "Targeted Medical Services for People's Health, integrating caFFR and caIMR into its FlashBot vascular surgery robots to empower precision medicine and contribute to the global cardiovascular industry.
