In recent years, RainMed Medical has continued to establish close scientific research cooperation with dozens of domestic and foreign top medical centers, such as Zhongshan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University, Peking University First Hospital, Peking Hospital, Sungkyunkwan University Samsung Medical Center in South Korea, and continue to publish more than 20 articles in famous SCI journals. Four of the articles were included in top journals such as <Cardiovascular Research> and <JACC: Cardiovascular Interventions>, leading the upsurge of clinical research on coronary function.

With the continuous accumulation of clinical evidence, RainMed Medicals coronary functional products of angiography series have gradually gained the recognition and favor of experts domestic and overseas. Until now, RainMed Medicals functional products have been used in nearly a thousand hospitals across the country. It has achieved a breakthrough in the export of domestic FFR products and solved the difficult problem of international coronary functional diagnosis with China's original technology. In 2021 alone, RainMed's products have appeared in more than 40 large-scale academic conferences around the world, where nearly 150 academic experts explained and spoke highly of RainMeds angiography-derived functional products, which laid a solid foundation for large-scale clinical promotion of caFFR and caIMR.

Compared with the traditional guide wire-derived FFR, RainMeds coronary angiography-derived fractional flow reserve (caFFR) has a high consistency of 95.7%, which is the highest consistency of FFR products in China.

RainMed Medical has established research partnerships with Peking University First Hospital, Beijing Hospital, Peking University People's Hospital, Queen Mary Hospital of the University of Hong Kong, University of Mainz in Germany and Madrid Medical Center in Spain for caFFR technology. In published articles, caFFR is proven to be useful in assessing blood flow before surgery, assisting in the development of scientific diagnosis and treatment strategies for complex diseases during surgery, and measuring the outcome of post-PCI to improve the overall prognosis of patients.

 

40% of patients with coronary artery disease still have recurrent angina after PCI, partly due to microcirculatory dysfunction. The ESC guidelines for the Diagnosis and Management of Chronic Coronary Syndromes published in 2019 recommend the use of IMR to assess coronary microvascular dysfunction.

According to publicly available information, RainMeds caIMR is the world's first non-invasive IMR measurement product to enter clinical trials. In contrast to the complexity, time consuming, high cost, and need for maximum hyperemia of the guide wire-derived IMR, caIMR is safer, simpler, and faster without requiring pressure guide wire, hyperemic agent, or thermaldilution methods, which has promoted IMR quantitative measurement from scientific research to clinical practice.

RainMeds caIMR has been presented in more than 20 large-scale events in China, including Oriental Congress of Cardiology (OCC), China Cardiovascular Intervention Forum (CCIF), Cardiac Imaging and Cardiac Intervention Conference (CICI). More than 30 experts are looking forward to caIMR technology. According to Prof. Yong Huo, RainMeds caIMR provides a new opportunity for the development of precision medicine, which will maximize the improvement of patient prognosis and promote the development of coronary function. Prof. yundai Chen points out that she attaches great importance to the application prospects of caIMR technology. caIMR targets problems related to microcirculation diagnosis. For the moment when measurement methods are still limited, RainMeds caIMR has a promising future.

caFFR and caIMR are currently used independently for precise diagnosis of coronary artery disease, and the two systems will serve as an important part of the digital functional diagnosis module, which lay the foundation for further development of vascular interventional surgical robots. In the future, the company will continue to broaden the scope of application of its product pipeline and expand the products to coronary arteries, cerebrovascular, pulmonary arteries, renal arteries and other peripheral vasculature, covering the whole process of diagnosis and treatment to create higher clinical value.
